Week 1

This week there was a concept that I found very interesting. It was the idea of empowerment. A way to solve customers' problems quickly by delegating authority from higher management to lower level workers. I have worked in a few places now and for some reputable companies. I have noticed that places that empower workers seem to run more smoothly and issues and problems are addressed faster and more efficiently. Places that don't do this seem to fail in many planning and to my observation, in supply chain management. Empowerment seems to solve many issues in many workplaces.
